About Me Hello! My name is Taylor Zaborney and I am a teacher in Middletown. I have been a teacher for 4 years and have taught in multiple Middletown Schools, in a myriad of grades and subjects as a Special Education Teacher and General Education Teacher. This year, I am a 4th Grade teacher teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies. I have also been on multiple committees including the English Language Arts Curriculum Committee, the NJ Future Ready Committee, the Global Education Committee, and lastly, the Social Studies Curriculum Committee. I have also taught in Middletown’s Learning Academy for both Math and Language Arts for the past 3 years. Last summer, I taught in Middletown’s S.O.A.R program, which focused on learning interventions in both Reading and Math. Finally, I also teach English to Chinese children through a program called V.I.P.Kid.
In my free time I love to read, go hiking with my dog, and explore the outdoors! I am available to teach Backyard Literacy groups for grades 2-5 starting this February and I am comfortable teaching both indoors and outdoors. I would love to do a Book Club or Math Club, but am flexible if there are other avenues of learning you would like (spelling, phonics, etc.) I am currently teaching, so my availability for spring would be from 3:45/4:00 - 4:45/5:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am available to do one hour sessions. If these groups or times work for you, contact Colleen at 908 - 278-0855 and she will share your contact information with me.
