We also require the child to create a member name and password. We may request additional information from your child, but this information is optional. We specify whether information is required or optional when we request it. 
 We enable registered users to communicate with others on or through this Website through chat, email, bulletin board, video chats, audio or video recordings and posting to public areas of the Website ("Social Features").  The children may also record themselves reading or conducting other educational activities in order to allow our tutors to evaluate the student or to help your child improve their reading skills.   The nature of these Social Features allow children to disclose personal information about themselves. We do not monitor or review this content before it is posted, and we do not control the actions of third parties with whom your child shares his or her information. We encourage parents to educate their children about safe internet use and to monitor their children's use of social features.

Audio and Video Files. To the extent that we have collected audio or video files of your child in order to perform the services you have requested for your child (such as practicing reading out loud), we will only keep those files for so long as your account remains active with our Website.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, we are not required to keep any such files and may delete them at our discretion.  Any such deletion will be in our active files, but you acknowledge that such filed may remain within our archived or historical electronic files.   You may at any time request via writing (as described at the end of this policy) that we delete such active files of your child, acknowledging that by doing so we may not be able to perform the educational services that you’ve requested. 

How We Use Your Child's Information

 We use the personal information we collect from your child to:
  • register him or her with the Website and the services we offer on the Website;
  • communicate with him or her about activities or features of the Website that may be of interest; and
  • communicate with him or her in order to conduct online reading assistance and tutoring through the services on the Website.
  • to assess reading skills and help improve their skills.

Our Practices for Disclosing Children's Information

 We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer children's personal information other than as described in this section.
 We may disclose aggregated information about many of our users.  In addition, we may disclose children's personal information:

The Website offers social features, including email, posting on message boards, photo sharing, link sharing, drawing, liking, commenting, uploading files, note writing and sharing video and audio files that enable children to communicate with others on our through the Website. We do not control the types of information your child can send or post through them. We encourage parents to educate their children about safety online and to carefully monitor their children's use of social features to ensure they do not disclose their personal information through them.
