About Me Aloha! My name is Christine Amoscato, and I am a third grade teacher in Middletown. This is my fourth year teaching third grade, but I have experience teaching Grades K-3, as well as Special Education. In addition to third grade, I have also been a teacher in the District's Extended School Year Program, as well as the Learning Academies focusing on math and reading skills. This past summer, I also facilitated a book club for a small group through the district and taught with the S.O.A.R. program, which targets small group intervention skills in both reading and math.
In my free time, I love to spend long days at the beach with a good book, ride my bike, walk my two rescue pups, travel, bake and exercise!
I am available for Backyard Literacy groups for grades K-3 starting this February, and am comfortable teaching both indoors and outdoors. I would love to do a book club or math club!
I am currently teaching, so my availability for Spring would be from 3:45-5:45 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am available to do one hour sessions, or two hour sessions on multiple subjects.
This summer I would love to continue our work with Backyard Literacy (or math)! Monday to Wednesday afternoons are best, as I work the Extended School Year Program. If these groups or times work for you, contact Colleen at 908-278-0855 and she will share your contact information with me! I look forward to working with you and your child!
